The Church has lost its reverence for the Lord. We have lost what the scriptures call “the fear of the Lord.” While God is our Father, and He calls us “friend,” we must remember that He is still a holy God. Our sinfulness keeps us from approaching Him on our own merit. We are often too quick to take the credit for the good things He does through us. He does not, and will not, share His glory with anyone. We must retain a proper perspective of who God is, and who we are. While we can have a personal, and very intimate, relationship with Him, we must, at the same time, maintain an awe and a fear of the Lord.
In these messages, I address this very important subject.
