Son of Man

When God created the world, He created it good.  There was, however, a problem.  When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, sin entered the world.  Death entered the world by that sin.  The only way to fix this problem was for God to bring a second Adam into the world who would perfectly obey His commands. The obedience of the second Adam would bring the dead to life.  Jesus came as this Second Adam—the Son of Man.  The first message begins to outline the concept of the Son of Man–that Jesus is the Second Adam.  The second message applies this concept of the “Son of Man” to the Church.  Because Jesus is the Son of Man, and we, the Church, are the expression of Jesus upon the earth, we must begin to see ourselves in light of the Son of Man motif.
